since i rarely go online, and dont even have an internet connection at home, i have had trouble finding an area of research. i have no idea about things like online gaming and communities. i do have a facebook acount- like most other people- though i rarely check it, and a hotmail, but purely for necessity. that is the extent of my online experience.
one thing that has always interested me is the site hot or not
i find it utterly amazing that people would post pictures of themselves online solely so others can rate them on thier looks!
so i decided to do my research on this hot or not website, and decided that i will post pictures of myself in different poses to see which one gets the best rating..

totally- hot or not is so bizarre - well the concept of it anyways. Do you think that maybe it is somewhat similar to the concept of the 'pageant' on tv (except it is only really one part of the pageant competition). Isn't it weird that we willingly participate in a beauty contest!? Why is it so fun to judge people? Does it feel ok because we are on the internet and somehow the rules change? I don't know, I am just throwing some questions out there.
