so i have been in the hotornot network for over a month now and there are certain things ive noticed/ come to realize. one is that it demands that you are an active participant. u cannot simply put ur picture up to be rated and forget about it. In order to be rated, you must rate other people! every time you log in, you must look at other people's profiles and rate them, in order to get more votes for yourself. i did not realize this when i first signed up. in the first picture , my 'provocative' one, i have a score in the 8.7 range. this is not bad, it shows that i am considered "hotter" than 85 percent of females on the sitre. My other picture, the one in which i am less provocative and just smiling, has a ratign or around 8.3...which is not that much lower! but the one amount of personal messages and people wanting to talk to me, or "meet" me when i have that sexy picture up, compared with the other, is astounding. i have about 50 people who want to talk to me, who have messages me or who want to meet me with the first. With the second, although my score is only slightly lower, i have only about 5! (i am wondering if this has anything to do with the profile i have attachedwith this pictre). i have had communications with many of the men, and will get into more detail about what kind of things i have been emailing them about soon

wow! its been a while since my last post! i appologize for the delay!
i was having some trouble setting up my hot or not accounts...it seems that my "provocative" pictures were a little TOO provocative! haha who would have thought!!! i guess they moderate the pictures going on a little more than i thought! but eventually i set up two accounts, like i had previously mentioned. one is a crazy party girl with some sexy bikini pictures. the other is a nice picture with and a profile that expresses my views on religion and education. so far i have had a few matches and people who want to meet me...for guess whihc account! u got it! the sexy one! so far no hits on the other one but i still have time!
i will let you know when i get a few more hits and wha my scores are for each pic!

so...basically what i want to look at is how people view beauty today, even after everything we know about beauty being ON THE INSIDE!! i have signed up for the site hot or not under two aliases, and have posted several pictures. One in while is an overtly sexual and provocative picture. with this pic i have included a profile that is incredibly shallow superficial and boring. the second picture is a natural one, just smiling without a whole lot of makeup- not at all provocative. with is i attached a profile that includes my likes, dislikes, and interests. im hoping that this profile is a lot deeper, more intelligent, and wittier than the other. i am waiting to see whether i will get a higher rating for my sexy picture than one which is not, and wether i will get more people wanting to "meet me" on my provocative picture and the shallow profile, or the one where i may be less sexual, but a hell of a lot more interesting. when these people contact me, i will ask them questions about how and why they chose the way they did.
this all sounds very confusing writting it down...but it is really very simple!

hot?...or not

since i rarely go online, and dont even have an internet connection at home, i have had trouble finding an area of research. i have no idea about things like online gaming and communities. i do have a facebook acount- like most other people- though i rarely check it, and a hotmail, but purely for necessity. that is the extent of my online experience.
one thing that has always interested me is the site hot or not
i find it utterly amazing that people would post pictures of themselves online solely so others can rate them on thier looks!
so i decided to do my research on this hot or not website, and decided that i will post pictures of myself in different poses to see which one gets the best rating..
