so i have been in the hotornot network for over a month now and there are certain things ive noticed/ come to realize. one is that it demands that you are an active participant. u cannot simply put ur picture up to be rated and forget about it. In order to be rated, you must rate other people! every time you log in, you must look at other people's profiles and rate them, in order to get more votes for yourself. i did not realize this when i first signed up. in the first picture , my 'provocative' one, i have a score in the 8.7 range. this is not bad, it shows that i am considered "hotter" than 85 percent of females on the sitre. My other picture, the one in which i am less provocative and just smiling, has a ratign or around 8.3...which is not that much lower! but the one amount of personal messages and people wanting to talk to me, or "meet" me when i have that sexy picture up, compared with the other, is astounding. i have about 50 people who want to talk to me, who have messages me or who want to meet me with the first. With the second, although my score is only slightly lower, i have only about 5! (i am wondering if this has anything to do with the profile i have attachedwith this pictre). i have had communications with many of the men, and will get into more detail about what kind of things i have been emailing them about soon

  1. i'm very interested in hearing what these men have to say.

Those who want to meet you, are you going to meet up with them??

  2. I think its interesting that 'presenting' two versions has shaped other people's responses. It is not surprising, but it just goes to show the 'superficial' or one dimensional the practice of 'rating' can be.

  3. It would be interesting (though maybe unethical) to post an 'ugly-betty' version of your photo and compare the results...
